What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Healing Method that has come to us from Japan through the teachings of Usui Mikao. It is a very simple to learn hands-on healing technique that dates back perhaps thousands of years, if not at an earlier time, and probably originated in Tibet or India. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words - Rei meaning Universal and Ki (or Chi in Chinese) meaning Energy.
Reiki is a powerful healing energy and is one of the few forms of healing that can be used for oneself or others. The Universe, the space around us, is filled with endless and inexhaustible energy. Reiki is this natural healing energy, and it flows through the hands of the Reiki channel in a powerful and concentrated form. The energy is channeled through the hands of a practitioner into the body of a receiver. Because it is a Universal, Reiki belongs to anyone who is ready to receive the gift of healing hands. Reiki is effective wherever the hands touch, because Reiki hands radiate healing energy at any time, in any place.
Reiki supports medical treatments such as massages, foot reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, chiropractic treatments, and much more. Reiki brings the body and mind into balance and works on all levels: the physical, spiritual, emotional and soul level. Reiki encourages self-healing, strengthens body and soul, opens blocks, balances Chakras, rebuilds harmony and flows in unlimited quantity.
Reiki is a channeled healing; therefore the Reiki practitioner's energies are never depleted. Additionally, because the healing Reiki energy is flowing through the practitioner during a treatment, both client and practitioner receive the benefits. For this reason, giving a treatment always increases one's energy and leaves one surrounded with loving feelings of well-being.
Reiki is not a religion. It has no doctrines, creeds or contradictions to the Universal Laws of Consciousness and Love. No matter where the person may be at in a certain point in their life, Reiki will harmonize and embrace their philosophical counterpoint, adding to it the Divine Presence. Once an individual is attuned to Reiki through the Attunement process, they are permanently linked to this Universal flow of healing. Yet as the same time, Reiki is non-manipulative, and will not interfere with a person's life or will in any way.
By receiving Reiki training and the Attunements, you become a part of a growing group of people who are using Reiki to heal themselves, each other, and others who work together to bring healing to the Earth.
